Tune into the darkest week of the year and winter’s arrival with a refreshing, slow walk through the gardens. The winter solstice is a brilliant moment to tune into the ritual of your inhale, the exhale, and the pauses in between. As we breathe and walk about, witness how the gardens rest during winter’s bite, after the abundance of fall, and in anticipation for the sprouting of spring.
The combination of conscious breathing and walking in the garden will help your nervous system slow down and relax. We'll begin with a brief explanation about slow breathing, then explore the garden using multiple senses with cues to breathe, and finish with warm tea and a reflection in the greenhouse.
Remember to dress for the weather as we will be outside for some of the walk.
